Last week we finished the Master's course Fluid Dynamics in Computational Engineering with a visit to the Boundary Layer Wind Tunnel lab.

During the course we talked a lot about Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) in Wind Engineering and also about validation and quality assurance.

Usually wind tunnel results are used for comparison with numerical data. Therefore, it is interesting and important to see how the wind tunnel data is collected. There are also special requirements and quality standards for experimental wind tunnel tests in building aerodynamics. And it is helpful if you know this a bit as a Computational Engineer as well.
